Hi Wiedong,

You can certainly do this. In your flat file datasource, just maintain the fields for Material # and description and make sure that the order of these columns is the same in your flat file.

Hope this helps...

Hi there,

Do I need load flat file for Material and text separately like a master data load? Thanks in advance!

Hi Weidong,

Your flat file must contain the material and text info together, else the load will not go through as expected.

Hope this helps...

Hi there,

But 0Material has master data and text. /BI0/TMATERIAL for text table and /BI0/PMATERIAL for master, as well as SID table. If I only point to one of them the decsription is not loding into /BI0/TMATERIAL. Correct me if I am wrong and share the steps to load extenal data into 0Material. Thanks in advance!

Hi Weidong,

You can maintain your flat file datasource to include fields LANGU, MATERIAL and TXTMD (or whatever text you are loading). Your flat file should also have the same columns and in same sequence.

Hope this helps...
