Batch numbering scheme in EWM

Hi

I have a question regarding batch numbering in EWM.

We are already live in ECC and are using custom logic to generated batch number during goods receipt process(MIGO).We are in the process of installing EWM 7.1 and wanted to know whether the same ECC batch numbering will still be called when a goods receipt is triggered first in EWM.

Currently in ECC we only generate Batch numbers during MIGO process and would like to  follow the same in EWM where the goods receipt function will be called in /SCWM/PRDI transaction.

So the inbound delivery will be created in EWM and then receipt will be triggered from it.So during this time whether batch numbering from ECC will be triggered and a batch number will be be generated based on the existing ECC logic.

Batch master creation - MSC1N

You can try creating integration model with batch as a parameter , so whenever batch master is created in ECC same master data will be reflected in EWM and can be viewed using transaction - /SCWM/WM_BATCH_MAINT - Maintain Batches for Product.

Batch Creation in inbound delivery :

Once inbound delivery is created with batch same will be reflecting in EWM for further process .

Just tested same and it works fine , below screen for your kind reference.

IBD created in ECC with batch

Distributed ID created with same batch as in ECC
