AL11- Accessing windows shared folder

What setup we have to do to access windows network shared folder from AL11. I have a scenario in which the receiver channel is file and i want to write files to the shared location.

We have added the external servers IP address in the hosts file however its not working. I think it will work only when the folder is created in AL11.

one of my friend told me this

"It will not work directly..  they have to create a SMB share (http://www.samba.org/) and mount on Unix and they need to allow access to <SID>ADM user.  Then only you will be able to map it in AL11 and write files via PI file adapters."

Now, we are planning to do FTP with that system. I will post the final resolution before closing the thread meanwhile if you have any options please let me know.

Hi Nishant,

See with your admin, I think they have to mount a Unix Bridge from your ECC server to your File share server, in order to be able to use AL11 to have an acess to this File Share Server.

regards.

May be you can get it added into AL11 and then configure this path in the channel..
