Hi, all
I have been searching over and over and found nothing. Do you know any documentation on how to do that?
Note that on PI single stack(aka Process Orchestration) there is no more exchangeprofile interface. So I am kind of lost ...
Thanks,
Jonathan.
Dear Jonathan,
You can change SLD by executing wizard provided by SAP. This wizard is available under below path
NWA-->Configurations-->Scenarios -->Configuration Wizard --> Click on Functional Unit Configuration UI
On this screen you can select "System landscape Directory" and execute.
This can also be accessed by URL
http://<host:port>/webdynpro/resources/sap.com/tc~sld~wd~main/Main?functionality=true
Please follow SAP Note 768148 - Using a separate SLD for XI
for user and authorization.
i did this activity in one of my system few days back. system is working fine.

Hi Jonathan
What exactly are you trying to do?
In java stack only are different menus to change parametrization.
In any case, SLD is accesible from http://local:port/dir/start/index.jsp

Hi Jonathan,
For AS Java based systems (like AEX, PO, etc.), target SLD details (SLD connectivity options, credentials, etc.) for SLD Data Supplier service are specified in HTTP destination named SLD_DataSupplier. Please check it in NetWeaver Administrator (NWA: Configuration -> Infrastructure -> Destinations) and adjust in case it is targeted at the wrong SLD.
Regarding Exchange Profile... Exchange Profile has been deprecated in PI Java-only installation options (AEX and PO) and doesn't exist there anymore. In such installation options, functional successor of Exchange Profile is J2EE service XPI Service: AII Config Service (com.sap.aii.utilxi.cfg.svc) that you can find among other Java services provided by PI AS Java system and manage via NetWeaver Administrator (NWA: Configuration -> Infrastructure -> Java System Properties).

Hi, Vadim
Once customers learn how to do things ... SAP will come up with their big idea and change everything without documentation. I guess they want to keep my job secured.
I did not see any SLD related parameter under "XPI Service: AII Config Service". That is supposed to be where the exchange profile is. But I found the SLD self registration parameters under service "XPI Service: CPA Cache" though. That makes me very uncomfortable as I am not sure where else I am missing. Any other idea?
Thanks,
Jonathan.
Hi Jonathan,
For SLD Data Supplier configuration like SLD endpoint and credentials, as I wrote in the reply above, can you please check HTTP destination SLD_DataSupplier?
Here is some information on it and its usage:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73ehp1/helpdata/en/92/c72ba29d694641a5f154b800442930/content.htm.
As for changes... I would admit that significant changes in architecture quite often lead to functional changes and adjustments (parts of existing functionality that doesn't fit new architecture are becoming obsolete, new features come up and are exposed, some functionality still remains for backward compatibility reasons). Transition of PI to a Java-only and provisioning of Java-only installation options is a good example here: quite a lot of features that were and still are native in dual-stack installation, simple don't find their place in Java-only world and need to be either replaced by something else or deprecated. So, it is a never-ending story unless the overall product stops evolving.
Regards,
Vadim
