BO Publications...

Hi,

BO Publications.

I've 5 Daily BO Publications in Production. Production Team run those Publications manually each one...

After running all the 5 of them, the first publication is running status the remaning 4 will be in pending status..Triggers have been set to wait for the 1st one to be completed and contine with the 2nd publication.

But theissue is that the prodcution team have to run the 5 publications daily instead if they run the first publication can't the 2nd one get triggered...

Any idea on this....

Create 4 Events for the 5 publications.

To create events

• Go to CMC
• Click on Events and create a new event (Give a name say : Event1). Make sure the event type is schedule event and select the option success available below. Create 3 additional events (Event2, Event3, Event4). You  can leave out the final publication.
• Go to the properties of first publication and in the events option select Event1 in the events to trigger after completion tab.

• Now go to publication 2 properties and select the Event1 in events to wait for and Event2 in events to trigger after completion. (This way report 2 starts automatically once report 1 succeeds.)

• Now go to publication 3 properties and select the Event2 in events to wait for and Event3 in events to trigger after completion.
• Now go to publication 4 properties and select the Event3 in events to wait for.

Note: When the first report is triggered all the other reports have to be in the pending state. To achieve this you can schedule report 2,3,4 at a particular time. They will be in the pending state for report1 to trigger event1
