stock reservation not confirmed BY MRP

Hi GURUS

I have the following issue:

I have a material configuration for which mrp Run create stock transfert reservation (movement type 311) from one MRP area to another one.

I have already set the transaction OMB1 for the movement 311, in order to have the quantity confirmed when I run CO09.

Now my problem is:

IF I CREATE A STOCK RESERVATION MANUALLY, THE QUANTITY IS CONFIRMED IN CO09.

BUT IF THE STOCK RESERVATION IS CREATED BY MRP RUN, THE QUANTITY IS NOT CONFIRMED IN CO09.

Why this happens? How can obtain to have the quantity ALWAYS confirmed in CO09?

In the following screen, 04.11 reservation is from MRP and in COnfirmed I have 0.

the one of 31.10.13 is manually made and I have confirmed 112.

I found that the difference in RESB is that for the manual one the field RESB-VMENG is filled with 112 while for the other one is 0.

Why from MRP sun is different? what I have to do?

regards

    Hi,

Check the scope of check in your case. What rule are you using while creating the Reservation Manually? What is the Checking rule provided in the MRP. Scope of check may be different in these two different cases and hence the issue is faced.

Check in OMB1 for MB21 what is the Checking rule and Compare the Checking rule in MRP parameters. If different, the scope of check can be different

    Regards,

    • Hello Alex

VMENG is the field that stores the confirmed quantity. It is the same information displayed on CO09.

This field is not updated by MRP because the availability check is not executed during the MRP run.

This is according to the system standard design for performance reasons. Running the ATP check for each planning element created by MRP could lead to an exponential increase on the MRP runtime.

Therefore, you should run the ATP check for the reservation after the MRP run, in order to update the confirmed quantity.
