SAPGUI Logon Shortcut

Hi All,

Brief information about our DEV system:

- SAP: SAP ECC 6.0 EHP5.

- DB: MS SQL 2008 R2 (Ver 10.50).

- OS: Windows Server 2008 R2.Standard (64 bits).

Would it be possible to create SAPGUI logon shortcut on windows desktop?

Assuming we've multiple logon entries on SAPGUI and we only want to create 1 shortcut for 1 of the entries.

The shortcut will allow user to enter user ID and password to logon to the system.

FYI. Most of our users are using Windows 7 platform, however, there are some on Windows XP and Windows 8.

Appreciate if you could help out.

Thank you.

- Peter

    Hi Peter

Simply you can create a .Bat or .cmd file in windows keep the shortcut on desktop

    ______________________________________________________________

Start sapshut -system=SID -client=(Client number) -desc="(system description as you mention in the SAPlogon pad)" -user=(User id) -PW=(Password)

    ______________________________________________________________

In case further help is require type in command prompt “start sapshcut /? “ refer the below screen shot

    Hello,

    Yes, you can.

Once you open the GUI (any of the connections), look for icon "Generate Shortcut" and after you fill the info (customize as you want), just specify the location as Desktop (or browse to any folder).

You can create shortcut to open the GUI login or to a certain TX code, as you wish.

      Hi Ram,

Will it be possible to execute the sapshcut command without having SAPGUI menu window being displayed?

Just a small window to prompt for logon should be OK.

      Appreciate if you could advise.

      Thanks.
