FMMPCOVR Issue with Funded Program

Hi:

We are facing an issue with carrying forward Funded program budget. Our client only carry forward residual budget for funded program .  I have a question , if client's fiscal year is from July to June then for funded program whose vailidity extends to the next fiscal year as well, do we need to carry forward their budget in FM or not ? If yes then when i am trying to carry forward of them in test system , getting error

The budget amount is not sufficient for release

I have checked for funded program it had consumable budget of exactly the same amount in previous year which system is trying to carry forward to next year so this error is not justified. I am using the parameters as shown in the attached screen shot. I tried by changing key figure as well to YE_RESIDU_CONS too but same result.

Hi Atif,

For your first question, it really depends on the business reaquirements of your client. Regarding the error message, please read instructions in 1859520  - Budget release in BCS and check if your system is configured in this way.

Are you saying your residual budget is the same as consumable budget? Please run BUDCON report for Funded Program. Based on the definition of key figure YE_RESIDUAL, residual budget should be the same as the Available Budget showing on that report.

In my short experience, this message shows why we are trying to do a process of liberation of an amount that is not yet entered (ENTR). revise your process carry.

Hi Atif,

I just realized this message is for the sender year and you were trying to carryforward residual budget for value type B1 (based on the definition of YE_RESIDUAL). Since you have already released part of the budget in the sender year and you are trying to carryforward B1, B1 is then going to be less than R1 in the sender year. That is why you get that error. I think you should follow the instruction of the note Eli gave you to resolve this issue.

Dear All:

Issue has been resolved. Actually i was using document type with automatic release but CORV and COSV processed were not assigned to it. I assigned to it and it worked. Thanks for your valuable inputs.
