Infotype 0581 Issue

Hi All,

My client provides accommodation for a group of employees which is maintained SAP in IT0581 with Accommodation type (9). If Employee is not interested to stay in the company provided accommodation, can move out on his own risk (no HRA is provided by Employer).

Now if an employee stays for few year in Company owned accommodation and has move out (employee self accommodation), so my client want to stop/delimit the infotype 0581 without providing any kind of HRA or other Accommodation type in IT0581. Suggest me would be good solution in this case.

Hi Vivek,

As per your client's need, if a person refuses to use Company owned accommodation, they should not get HRA benefit. You will have to first find if there is any accommodation type in IT0581 wherein HRA is not applicable. I mean, if an accommodation type is selected, is it the case that no HRA appears in IT0008? If so, you can use that type in IT0581.

If not, you will have to use User exit or 40ECS feature to stamp Zero amount in HRA wage type.

Hi,

As mention in the main post the client don't want to maintain any other accommodation type in IT0581 or HRA amount in IT0008, if the employee move out of company own accommodation.

I tried to delimit with Own accommodation type but its giving an error of IT0008 "No automatic updation for IT0008. Relevant Wagetype not found." as for this employee group no HRA wagetype exists in allw. group according to client policy.

Suggestion required to change the Time constraint of IT0581.

I believe HRA is not configured properly Please check below

Steps of configuring HRA are as follows:

1)Create a customer W/T from a Std one

2) Make that permissible to IT0008

3) Maintain the W/T characteristics, what we generally take INVALB for HRA, then maintain the valuation( interms of percentage) of it in respect of base w/ts i.e. your Basic pay w/t.

4) Then default that w/t under each your Basic Pay w/t model.And also include that under each allowance grp in RAP table under reimbursement/perks node in IMG.

5) Then go fo confuring IT0581, once your configure your accommodation type under IMG, you can select the respective one and mention the rent amount below and check the box (HRA to be tax exempted). This amount will be considered as tax exempted amount in payroll and rest over will go and sit in IT0008

This more or less completes the configuration.  Dont forget to add wagetype in PE51

Diagnosis
The taxability code is missing or is not maintained for the selectedhousing type in V_T7INR7.

Procedure
The selected housing type should be configured to a taxability code inV_T7INR7.

Thanks for the steps.

Yes, I know that by maintaining these steps we can avoid the error of IT0008 "No automatic updation for IT0008. Relevant Wagetype not found." But in my case this particular employee group is not eligible to have the HRA. Employee can only option of having the Company Owned accommodation, if not interested the employee is not given any HRA benefits.

If that Particular employee group is not eligible to have the HRA. If employee can only have option of Company Owned Accomdation. If employee is not given HRA. No need to to create another record for that.

You just need to delimit the infotype till the date of employee with Company Owned Accomdation.

Please check HRA wagetype is populating or not? If it is populating in 0008 This issue will encounter? Normally it shouldnt populate when employee is not having HRA

As Rajesh has said you can delimit the Infotype by creating another record.

You have to delimit infotype  till the stay in the company owned accomdation

A New record You have to select another accomdation type: Rented

What the problem you facing to stop/delimit the infotype 0581 without providing any kind of HRA or other Accommodation type in IT0581 ?
