Hello Experts,
Is there a way to know which table will be affected when I run RSWWWIDE program to delete the work items? As in, which table that I should monitor to keep track of the size changes after I run RSWWWIDE? I need to record the before and after size of those specific table after I run the deletion on the work items to see how much space that I can save. Any idea?
Regards,
Shakir
These are the tables affected when you run program RSWWWIDE to delete workitems.
SWZAIRET
SWZAIENTRY
SWZAI
SWW_WI2OBJ
SWW_CONTOB
SWW_CONT
SWWWIRET
SWWWIHEAD
SWWWIDEADL
SWWLOGPARA
SWWLOGHIST
SWWEI
SWWCNTPADD
SWWCNTP0
SWP_NODEWI
SWP_HEADER
SWPSTEPLOG
SWPNODELOG
SWPNODE
SWPCMPCONT
SWFGPROLEINST
You can use table SWWWIHEAD to track the number of entries deleted and space changes. Because this is the header table.
How ever you can use program RSWWWIDE log to find out from which table the entries got deleted and how much space has been gained.

A more important question is "Why are you even considering using program RSWWWIDE?" The SAP Data Management Guide states:
Report RSWWWIDE deletes all types of work items. It should be used with great care, because it could also delete incomplete work items or part of a work flow in a production system.
You should only use this program in a non-production system. If you need to remove old workitems from your production system, you should archive them instead with archive object WORKITEM.

Hi Karin,
Thank you for your input. I'm aware of that and fyi, I'm not running this in a production system. I can use SARA to archive and that will solve the problem but however we are looking for an option to reduce the space as much as possible and that is why I wanted to give a try on RSWWWIDE and see how much space can we gain after running it. Any suggestion on the best possible way I can do this?

Shakir
you can find those tables yourself in transaction DB15, which can list tables archived by archiving object, and vicaversa you can enter a table name and find archiving objects that can archive entries from this table.
