Error Handling in XI.

I like to request couple opinions on if the Message Monitoring functionality of Runtime Workbench will be sufficient in capturing all system and application errors (data format error, connection error, etc). Will it be possible to configure alerts such that these system and application errors are sent via an email to a group?

    Hi Amjad,

You can capture systems errors and applications errors through BPM. You have option to capture them as application acknowledgements and also configure your alerts. (You have weblogs for configuring the same)Use BPM to capture and monitor your activities.

    Good Luck.

Vedavyas, thanks for your input. BPM is definitely an option.

I have a question about CCMS. My current understanding is that if CCMS is correctly configured with XI then it would capture all system and application errors and generate alerts by default. Then we can define the auto-reaction methods on top of these alerts to generate notifications (email, etc) such that the operations group can be notified of the system and application errors.

Is it possible to integrate CCMS with Tivoli such that we can define an Auto-Reaction Method to send notification to Tivoli?

Has anyone used this approach? Any thoughts? Thanks!
