Dear All,

I am getting an ABAP DUMP as ZDATE_LARGE_TIME_DIFF

Short Text:   Large time difference between application server and database.

Time and time zone for database and Application server are same.

Please help me to solve this issue.

Hi Ruchi,

Shutdown application and database.

Adjust the timezone as well as date/time on the server on which SAP is running based on location.

Later start the application and database.

Hope this helps.

Hi

I thing you may using the Windows 2008 server? in that by default time zone will be -8 based on you location you may require to define.

Kindly check the SAP Note 1566014 - ZDATE_LARGE_TIME_DIFF

Hi,

There are many error related to this issue. But till you specify the OS and DB version and the kernel its difficult to provide solution.

1155698 - ZDATE_LARGE_TIME_DIFF with AIX 5.3 TL7 SP1 and AIX 6.1

1016023 - No ZDATE_LARGE_TIME_DIFF runtime error

  • Access authorization for the file /etc/environment:
Ensure that the access authorization for the file /etc/environment has read authorization for every user (-rw-r--r--) so that the user <SID>adm receives the correct environment variables by sapstartsrv when starting the SAP instance. Otherwise, unexpected side effects may occur (for example, a problem may be caused by ZDATE_LARGE_TIME_DIFF because the time zone for the <sid>adm is not set correctly
