I think you are mixing two different technologies here. BSP and WebDynpro are two completely different things. In fact there are two different flavors of WebDynpro as well - Java based and ABAP based. Which technology are you wanting documents for?

There are a few pieces of WebDynpro ABAP that shipped with 640 by accident. Most of those pieces have been disabled/removed by recent support packages. According to OSS, WDA is NOT released or supported for 640. The first release that will contain WDA is WebAS 700 otherwise know as NetWeaver04S. This release enters Ramp-Up this month with GA scheduled for Q1 or Q2 or 2006. Therefore you won't find much (beyond the 2005 TechED sessions) on WDA. However I am sure more documents and weblogs will be released as customer begin to use the tool during hte Ramp-Up phase.

For BSP why not search through SDN. The BSP area of Weblogs has many fine documents. Some of Brian's early weblogs are estential and also have links to where to find BSP related help on help.sap.com and in the Service Marketplace.

Hi Thomas,

Thank you very much . i am using ERP2004. but i am unable to see the option for creating WEBDYNPRO application in SE80 t.code.

If you have any basic document for creating simple WEBDYNPRO application in ERP2004, please give me or from where can i look out the all weblogs.

i can find lots of BSP related weblogd in sdn.sap.com but i don't find any sigle document for developing WEBDYNPRO application in ABAP.

thanks in advance,

Regards,

Kannan.

>but i am unable to see the option for creating WEBDYNPRO application in SE80 t.code

That is because ERP2004 is based upon WebAS 640 (NetWeaver04). This release does not and will not have functionality to create WebDynpro ABAP applications.

WDA is not introduced until WebAS 700 (NetWeaver04S). This will be the technology layer for ERP2005!

This is also why you don't find any weblogs about developing any WebDynpro applications in ABAP - Because no one can do it yet. You are talking about software that is just now begining to enter Ramp-Up.

Exactly. At least not WebDynrpo ABAP. If you installed the Java Add-In or you have a standalone 640 Java system, these both support WebDynpro Java. But of course this is a completely different development environment than the ABAP workbench.

Once NetWeaver04S is generally available, you could always install a standalone system. You could code WDA in this system and connect to your ERP2004 system via RFC. That is what some people (my company included) does today to write BSP applications against 46C systems.
