Infoobject character length conversion routine in transformation

Hi All

I have a source field LOGSYS (CRM system)-CHAR10 which is mapped to 0CRM_SYS_PR-CHAR-2.

How do i write a CHAR length conversion routine in tranformation?

NOTE : Its SAP BI-7.4 version

Hi,

It depends on the value input we are giving. you may decide on the names; it will be from 8 to 12.

you will have normally ex: CRMCLNT88, CRMCLNTSYS, P88CLNTSYS, ECCCLNT88

The infoobject 0crm_sys_pr has the data element comt_logsys whose length is 10.

You don't need any conversion routine here. Check again your data element length.

What is tthe internal length are you expecting?

You may try with standard transformation formulas.
