Hi All,
We are having an issue with profit center determination during Contract/sales order creation from SD side,
Normally profit centers are determined on a contract/ sales order from the material master (tab-Sales: General/PlantàGeneral Plant Parameters).
When we assign a statistical Internal order to a contract/sales order the profit center determined from the material master is overwritten with the profit center that is assigned to the internal order.
Per standard SAP when a real cost object is assigned to a Contract/sales order, the profit center determined from the Material Master on a Contract/sales order would be overwritten by the Profit center assigned to the real cost object, but in our case the internal order that is being assigned to the Contract/sales order is a statistical one?
We even tried using substitution rule; this only helps overriding the profit center which is derived from the material master but not the one that comes from the statistical internal order.
While creation of a Contract/sales order we would want to retain the profit center that is coming in from the Material Master and it should not be overwritten by the profit center assigned to the statistical internal order.
Has anyone encountered this ? Any inputs/suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Hari
This is unusual and wrong in my opinion
Check if your Stat IO has a Cost center assigned to it (KO03).. If not, catch hold of SAP, they should provide a resolution
