Error in cancellation due to serial numbers concerned in MIGO

Hi

I have consumption material  which is having serial nos which is issued to subcontractor with serial no entry for repair purpose through movement type 541 and consumed at vendor.Now the material is recieved with serial nos generated automatically  after repair and a inspection lot is generated and material is posted to unrestricted.Now the user makes a UD reversal and stock reversal and cancelling MIGO and again wants to do MIGO.While cancellation a error is coming "Status errors occurred for the serial numbers concerned"

Any help in providing resolution of issue is appreciated

Hi

For serial no with movement type 101 the status in ESTO and for material with subcontracting scenario which is consumed by 543 movement type it is AVLB.

If I change status from ESTO to AVLB or AVLB to ESTO for the serial nos it is going to dump in MIGO when I go for cancellation

If I dont change status it is throwing error in MIGO showing error due to serial nos concerned

In lot reversal program I have included for serial nos reversal of stock to quality from unrestricted,blocked.

Seems that you have developed a custom program at your end which can reverse inspection lot specific stock for the materials handled with serial numbers.

As I understand from your latest post, you are facing issue while cancelling MIGO i.e. original 101 movement document. What is the status of serial numbers for the stock lying in QI? Is is ESTO with 02? Whether the status of inspection lot also revoked to SPRQ?

It should be ESTO with 02 only. Then only 102 movement is possible from QI. At the same time you should check the serial number status for the consumed material (which might have been consumed by 543 movt when you performed 101 movement). MIGO cancellation will reverse that entry as well, being a subcontracting scenario.

Hi, Were you able to reverse the UD and stock posting for the material handled in serial numbers?

I think, under such circumstances, as FF has mentioned, note 175842 doesn't work for this. Hence you can not bring back the stock in to quality. You have to explore if you can develop a custom program through ABAP for reversing the stock in QA with serial number. Later you can do MIGO cancellation.

There is some work around for this, probably you should get the approval for this from your concerned departments. Instead of cancelling MIGO, you can reverse the stock from unrestricted with respect to purchase order. I'm not so sure but the T-Code is MB01 with 102 movement. But remember this will not cancel original GR.

THere are two serial nos for the material and status of both is ESTO and AVLB.If if I do not disturb the status and do MIGO cancellation it is showing error due to serial nos concerned and if change and do MIGO cancellation  it is going to dump

Please check serial number status in Question in IQ02 , May be its in ESTO (In Stock) Status

If manual change is allowed in your config. you can change the status Edit>Sp.serial number functions>Manual transaction, change it to AVLB and try

I believe if you look at the UD reversal program and the OSS notes with it, it specifically states that it does not support serial number functionality.

I'd contact OSS for help.
