Missing ESR Content for Integration Flow creation

Former Member

Hello Colleagues,

if I try to create a new Integration Flow at NetWeaver Developer Studio (Eclipse based) under PI Explorer (NWDS representation for Integration Directory at Swing application), Integration Flow wizard doesn't show any ERS content like "Service Interface" or "Namespaces" for selection.

Selection lists always empty.

I assume ESR connectivity doesn't work for synchronization?

Any suggestions?

Many thanks in advance!

Regards,

Jochen

Hi Jochen,

this is perhaps not linked to your NWDS... but probably to your SLD !

You can have such issue (Service Interface not found in PI Scenario flow building)... when your Service Interface has been created, in ESR, inside a SWCV, and... if this SWCV/Product is NOT added to your Technical / Business System (e.g ECC) in your SLD !

Maybe you have the same issue:

1. So in your SLD, add your Product/SWCV to your Technical System.

2. In your SLD, go to your Business System, and do not forget to select the SWCV of your added product.

3. in PI config, do a clear SLD cache.

After that, you should be able to select your service interface during the PI flow construction.

If you are using a Business Component, and not a Business System, you have nothing to do in SLD... but you have to open your Business Component (PI config) and add your Inboud/Outbound SErvice Interface. Save. Activate. Then use your wizard (if you like !), you should be able now to use your referenced Service Interface under your BC.

regards.

Exactly....In NWDS (or swing ID), open up the Business Component and add the Service Interface to the Sender or Receiver side.   Then you can access the interface in the iFlow.

Hi Michael,

direct hit! The product assignment to the technical system (1.) and the select SWCV for the Business System (2.) was missing.

Now it works fine!

Many thanks for your great support!

Also many thanks to all others for support!

Solved!

Jochen

Hi Jochen,

I'm facing the same problem of missing interface from ESR while creating an iFlow in NWDS using Business System. Followed the below steps:

1. Added the Product/SWCV to the Technical System.

2. Selected the SWCV of your added product in the corresponding Business system.

3. Did a cache refresh.

Yet the interface is not populating under Business System.

Can u people suggest some other work arounds?

Hi Jochen,

Can you see the ESR objects in the Enterprise Service Browser perspective?

Hi Harald,

yes! Namespaces, Data Types, Message Types, Services Interfaces, Message Mapping and Operation Mapping. All there at Enterprice Service Browser!

When you immediately finish the wizard without choosing the ESR objects - Can you select the ESR objects in the Integration Flow Model Configurator? Or are there also no ESR objects listed?

In the Model Configurator, after immediately finished the wizard, is the same situation Harald.

Here I am as well not able to browse for ESR objects.

Hi Jochen,

development in the Integration Builder works? So it seems to be a pure NWDS issue?

Hi Harald,

yes this is the situation. In the "old" swing application it works fine with Enterprise Service Builder objects synchronization in to the Integration Builder (Integration Directory).

It's definitely an issue related to the NetWeaver Developer Studio.

Maybe some configurations are missing under "Preferences" regarding connection between Enterprices Service Browser and PI Explorer.

But I haven't any idea what is missing?

Many thanks in advance!

Jochen

Hi Jochen,

I don't think that there is something missing since you are able to view the ESR objects in the ESR perspective. Therefore you are successfully connected to the ESR.

Currently I have no idea unfortunately.
