Getting Error Message UCD1023 -Profit center #### not defined for Independent Characteristic Controlling Area

Hi Gurus,

I am running into this error when I run dataload at level 00 in UCMON.

The scenario is:

Controlling Area A is used in Consolidation as a fixed characteristic.

Source is Controlling area A and Controlling area B. Data is loaded from infoprovider  ZFIGL_C10 and in the mapping CO area A and CO Area B was reassigned to CO area A.

Not sure if this change is creating an issue. Prior to this change CO Area mapping setting was only Move. However, we were pulling the CO Area A related data from ZFIGL_C10 and CO Area B data from a different source system. Profit center is used here as a sub assignment.

Keeping the old mapping of Move was not letting me pull data in UCMON but Reassignment let me do it. After reassignment running into the  below error. This error is only coming for the Profit centers belonging to CO area B .Need help or suggestion to find thhe possible issue.

Is the controlling area fixed in the cons area?

Hey Dan,

Yes, Controlling Area is a Fixed Characteristic and Co Area A is maintained as a Fixed value in the Cons Area.

However, this config was forever. Not sure how come it may create an issue now?

Could you please check master data of the above Profit centers are available or not?

I was able to resolve this issue by changing condition in data load from stream.
