anyone doing the SP5 to SP6 upgrade and the SP6 to NW04 migration together?

Hi everyone,

We are still at EP5 v5.0 SP5.

Do you know of people who did the SP5 to SP6 at the same time as SP6 to NW04 upgrade? Is this recommended? Or should we upgrade SP5 to SP6 first, test it. Then treat the SP6 to NW04 as a seperate project?

Hi Tobi,

Personally I'd recommend the upgrade to SP6 and the migration be separate. The main reason is that if you don't test in between the upgrade and the migration, you won't know if any problems you see at the end were caused by the upgrade or the migration.

That is my two cents worth. Anyone else

Hi Topi,

the KM migration part requires EP5 SP6 Patch1 Hotfix 10 as a mandatory minimum level, simply because the database parts of migration tools expect a certain schema layout; and older layouts aren't reflected in the tools.
