Upgrading from SUP 2.1 to SMP 2.3 and exporting workflows

Hi,

I have a few questions regarding the upgrade of SUP 2.1 to SMP 2.3.

Currently we are bussy with an upgrade to SMP 2.3, but know now that this is possible anly if we first upgrade to SUP 2.2 then SMP 2.3.

But my questions are:

• How can we back-up our workflows (projects) on the SUP 2.1 environment?
• And can we import these to SMP 2.3? How can we do this?
• Are the workflows drom SUP 2.1 compatible with SMP 2.3?

You need to take the back up of your projects from workspace 2.1 ( Hope you are using 2.1 ESD 3 ) before upgrade to 2.2. After that you can import the projects to the new workspace and deploy the project to SUP server. During upgrade all the services will be stopped and the app can't run from mobile that means business process will be stopped. When you are migrating no changes in project is required if you haven't did any customizations to HWC app and you don't want to use any new functionalities available in SUP 2.2. Same applies while migrating project from 2.2 to 2.3. If you want to use the new features available in 2.2 and 2.3 follow this document that describes how to manually migrate the project.

yes, it is clear that you need to upgrade to 2.2.x first and then to 2.3 (from 2.1.x)
