Error While approving a Leave Request in MSS Portal by a manager

Employee has applied leave for 3 days in Nov 2013.Workflow has reached to the Manager.When Manager is trying to approve the leave request getting the following error.

Not Enough Quota 01 for attendance/absence 2500 on  12/18/2012 for the Personnel number xxxxxxxx.

But user has requested leave for 24hrs from 25th Nov 2013 to 27th Nov 2013 .

User has enough quota in IT2006 to apply leave.Year 2012 Quotas has been used by the user.On 12/18/2012 a leave request has already been approved and deducted in IT2001.

Read note 1070831 which explains how quota deduction is done both in leave
request and TMW which are based on same technology.

So to summarize Absences are picked up for the quota
deduction , they are picked in the ascending order of the begin date
of the absences

\In  the standard TMW framework, when the data is simulated it first

backtracks the PA2001 record and based on the ascending order the quota

is deducted, therefore the first quota is deducted by the simulated

requests and the Infotype 2001 record is deducted from the second

Infotype 2006 record.

so check for this user if he has any open request ie in sent/approved not yet posted status which ll also account for quota!!

and will sorted again in ascending order and all requests will be considered for quota deduction if they are open!

Hi

On checking the error message I note the year is 2012 this suggest that there is a quota issue with the employee.  I would suggest program RPTK0K00 is run on the employee to re-save leave and quota deductions.  It may be that the leave originally booked now has a greater value and the quota is in negative.

I assume you are on ECC6 with ESS leave request.

Please find my understanding of your post.

Employee has applied for 3 days leave

During the application of the leave employee had enough quota.

Now the approver is trying to approve the request  and he is getting this error.

Please check if there is any leave posted into the system after, the employee applied for leave.  This should have happened after the employee applied the leave.
