Hello fellow SDNers,
My company would like me to provide them with some testimonials on the course BC401 (ABAP Objects) before they approve my attendance. I am hoping some of you have taken the course and can provide me with some comments. Your reply is greatly appreciated and anticipated.
Kind Regards,
Jason

I took that course. I thought that it gave a good overview of the concepts of ABAP OO. I would definitely recommend that your company invest a little money in you. I am now thumbing thru the manual that you get from the class, remembering all the things that we learned about. It really did help me grasped the whole OO thing.

My take is it was super and not for the faint-hearted; know as much about objects as you can before taking it.
It was the most rewarding SAP course I've taken; it does, however, require your (very) active participation!
Best!

Hi Jason,
I took the course a few years ago, and to be honest, at the time unless you were using BW or CRM there wasn't a huge demand for ABAP Objects - but it gave me a good understanding of OO Programming though.
But now from 4.7 onwards, it is highly advisable to know about ABAP Objects, it opens up a whole new world for you! From little things such as when I write ABAP reports, I use the ALV Class instead of the Function Modules, to understanding those Enjoy transactions.
If you are not familiar with OO it will be tough at first but definately recommended!
Cheers,
Pat.
