Create a vurtial direcory in NetWeaver 04 env for Portal application

Hello,

I am moving one of the EP5 applications to EP6 and the application accesses some JavaScript files. In EP5 applications, these JS files were stored on the Web Server, which was IIS.

I would like to keep the similar option in EP6. How do I create a virtual directory for EP6? The application runs in Web AS server on the port 50000 (standard installation).

Please any help.

Thanks,

Leonid

    Hi Leonid,

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but what about creating a folder under the portals root web directory---c:\usr\sap\<SID>\j2ee\j2ee_<#>\cluster\server\services\servlet_jsp\work\jspTemp\irj\root\ ?

For example, "public" and in this folder a file exists called myscript.js

Then you can access it via http://myserver:50000/irj/public/myscript.js.

User credentials and authorizations are not checked for this url so make sure only public resources go here.

    Hope this helps,

    Marty
