FI New GL for FI at line item level in BW

Hello,

I would like to obtain New FI GL on a line item document level in BW. ( Document number+Line Item number )

Business Content Datasource 0FI_GL_10 is based on a total table in FI New GL that does not fit our requirement.

Does anybody have any other solution in mind apart from creating a generic Datasource?

Use FAGLFLEXA table and create a generic datasource.This will give you line itme level details in NewGL.

I don't think you can use 0FI_GL_4 for NEW FI GL...

Surely you have to do some (heavy) enhancement to 0FI_GL_10 in order to transform a TOTAL extractor to an ITEM extractor and anyway, there is only the TOTAL std way available for any ledger..

I think you need to build your own datasource (it's easier!)

0FI_GL_4 it isn't good for you?

As I understand,

new FI GL data are based on different tables (BKPF, BSEG_ADD) than the ones used for 0FI_GL_4 Datasource (BKPF, BSEG).

I can not use 0FI_GL_4 Datasource for this purpose.

Hi

we had exactly the same problem.

Going the way of a generic extractor is painful in this situation.

What we did: a modification of the 0FI_GL_4 extractor: Where it reads the BSEG-table, you can add a statement to read the BSEG_ADD too.

A few lines further down the extractor filters on the type of record: you need to allow New GL type too - and that's it.

P.S. Please do not forget to send an OSS to SAP requesting this functionality: If enough people do this, they realize that they REALLY have to provide a Business Content extractor for the New GL Line Items too!!

I was able to create a datasource using an SAP Infoset.

1. Create an infoset for only table FAGLFLEXA (tcode SQ02) in source system. Make sure you check the box for 'no automatic text recognition' to avoid generating text fields. include all fields from the table.

2. Go to RSO2 and create a datasource using the infoset.. Save your datasource without generating the generic delta. Ignore warnings for currency fields and save. Your currency will still be extracted.

3. Go to your created data source in RSO2 and create Generic Delta. I used Timestamp field with 1800 for the upper limit setting. This should create a generic delta datasource.
