The Oracle database software is not yet installed

Dear all,

I am installing abap of NW7.0 EHP3 on RHEL6.2 with Oracle 11.2.0.3.

Everything went smoothly before oracle software installation. Now after installing oracle 11.2.0.3 and after running two scripts when I am clicking on OK, message box is asking me to install oracle software.

Here is my environment:

DBSID=ddb

My ORACLE_BASE points to /oracle and ORACLE_HOME points to /oracle/ddb/11203.

After installing oracle software and installing SBP, there is a soft link 112_64 pointing to 11203 in directory /oracle/ddb/

Please help me, as I'm stuck in the middle of installation.

Have you tried restarting the sapinst again after installing the Oracle software ?

Hi Johnny,

Can you change the environment variable ORACLE_HOME points to /oracle/ddb/11203, try and let us know the results.

Also, provide us the output of R3trans -d

Once you finish Oracle installation, SAPINST waits on this screen..where we click on OK.

There will be a shoftlink for 112_64 pointing to 11203.. that is not a problem.

What do you get when you click OK ?

Hi Ashish,

When I clicking OK, the message box popped up.

Prompt:

The Oracle database software is not yet installed.

Solution: Install the Oracle database software using the RUNINSTALLER.

The problem is resolved by changing env varies ORACLE_HOME to /oracle/dbsid/112_64.

But now I'm encountering another issue in step 23,"start instance".

It doesn't work when I click Retry. The background trace log shows below context:
