Short question to repository filters

Hello,

when I use repository filters to hide some documents for certain roles, will these documents still be accessable by typing the URL in the address-field in the browser? Or are repository filter a way, to protect documents from unauthorized access?

Regards,

Dominik

    Hi Dominik,

filters will always be applied, i.e. inside the KM browser or by typing in the content URL in a browser.

They are a core component of the content management system and are always invoked when configured for the repository. One part of their execution environment is the ResourceContext in which the user performing the request is stored.

    Best regards,

Reward points are always welcome, when satisfied with the answer, 😉
