Creating Source System

Hi gurus,

I need to create a new Source System in order to connect BW to CRM and I did the next steps:

1- I go to Source System.

2- Click(right button) on Source System.

3- Choose "Create".

4- Choose "SAP System from release 3.0E (Automatic creation)"

5- Complete the data in the section "or create new destination":

Target computer: iwdf9407

System ID(system name) : DDB

System number: 04

6- Complete the following:

Background user in source system: ALEREMOTE.

Password for source system user: inithls

Repeat password: inithls

7- Complete the section "Connection of source system to BW":

Background user in BW: ALEREMOTE.

Password for BW user: inithls

Repeat password: inithls.

8- Click OK.

9- The system show to me the next message "Please log on as an administrator in the follow screen".

10- Click OK.

11- Appear the log on screen.

Should I log like as Administrator User? I am making the steps correct?

Hi,

It seems, you are doing perfect. So enter with system administrator uerid(not background user), then it will create the source system.I hope, after entering the userid, it will ask you to select either 'activation' or 'Activation and replication'.You can select any thing.
