Distribute using reference data

Hi Guys,

I urgently require your help as was given in the past. Please consider the different views of the layout below:

All Nodes Collapsed

Sales 2005 Sales 2006

+Branch1 200

+Branch2 300

+Branch3 400

+Branch4 500

Branch Nodes Expanded

Sales 2005 Sales 2006

-Branch1

+PG1

+PG2

-Branch2

+PG3

+PG4

PG Nodes Expanded

Sales 2005 Sales 2006

-Branch1

-PG1

P1

P2

-PG2

P3

P4

and so forth......

As you can see above I have 3 characteristics Branches, PG and products and one key figure "Sales". I have got figures for Year 2005 but now need to produce figures for year 2006 based on reference data from year 2005.

Which of the 2 functions should I use "Distribute by reference data from sender to recipient" OR "Distribute with reference Data"?

Can some one then let me know what I should include in the reference data, fields to be changed and conditions fields of the planning function I should be using for my requirement?

I have tried reading the documentation but its very confusing?

Please reply at your earliest.

Many thanks in ADVANCE.

Regards,

Salman

I think you shuold use Distribute with reference Data.

In fields to be changed put PG and products, in conditions put branches and year (with variable), in reference data the KF Sales and year-1.

    Hope it help you.

    Regards.
