Purchase Order Message Output Deletion

Former Member

Hello Experts,

I have a serious dilema here and I was unable to find any related OSS notes or any other postings that related to this issue.

I have a purchase order that was created by me and it auto determined a EDI message type "ZCBU" and the status is yellow. When I enter the purchase order in ME22N I can still see the "ZCBU" message output type.

If anothrer user enters into the same PO in ME22N the "ZCBU" message output type does not display for them. It is completely gone, but still in the NAST table, not shown as deleted, and I am still able to see it in ME22N if I enter the same PO once again.

Note: If I log-off of SAP and I login again and enter the PO, then I am not able to see the "ZCBU" message output type anymore. This is veruy weird and any assistance otr ideas would be highly appreciated.

I am working in ECC 6.0

Thanks!

Hi,

   Please check the following.

1. If the output type is not visible in the other user, check the authorization for the user. In ME22N, output type screen, put /nSU53 and check whether any authorization objects are missing. If so, check with your basis team and assign the authorization.

2. For the issue with log off and login again, you may check the GUI. You may use the GUI 730 patch 5 and check the same. I guess it could be because of the GUI compatibility. Otherwise, you have to check with the BASIS team.

Thanks AKPT for the quick reply.

I have done the SU53 access check and the other users have the same access as I do and there are no authorization errors.

I am using SAP GUI 720 which is the latest that this company has at the moment. I do not believe it is the gui because once I login again and if I add the message output manually, save, log off and login again, it stays.

Regards,

Charlie

is the record still in NAST after you login again?

In which field does the NAST record differ from one which is visible in the PO?

Yes, the record is still in NAST after I login again.

There is no difference in the NAST record when I first create the PO and after I log out and login again.

Also, keep in mind that it is still visible in display mode of the purchase order, althought I cannot see it in change mode.
