sdm error

Hi

I am trying to deploy a simple example in Netweaver developer studio, but I do not get prompted for the SDM password, do I need to configure SDM somewhere?

I get the following error when trying to deploy:

An exception occured while deploying: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

Make sure that the J2EE and SDM server settings are correct and both servers have been started

And also where the sdm configurations are to be done.

And also when I started to run the sdm from the server it was stopped due to an error.

"syntax error return code:12"

Can anybody help me on this issue.

Thanks,

kris

    Hi Gopi,

Did you restart the server and try? And you have to enter the WAS server details in Netweaver Developer Studio. Under Windows->Preferences->SAP J2EE Engine.

Restart the WAS Server, make the entry in Developer Studio and try again.

    Hi Gopi

Try to start the sdm in integrated mode

    "sdm jstartup mode=integrate"

Refer to sapnote :795142 for this.
