IT 0023 Issue

Hi gurus"

  In ecc6 we have IT0023 the feilds job and industry, employer, for these feilds they have given drop down list , but client wants to make it free flow to enter the information . can we do it like this? if yes please let me know how to make it

Hello Ashok,

If you check the configuration node of IT0023;

Personnel Management -> Personnel Administration -> Employee Qualification -> Other/Previous Employer

The values need to be predefined and and field types are already made as "list box" in the screens for for Job and Industry. You cannot make it free flow.

if You want to make it freeflow, you have hide these fields through configuration and enhance the IT0023 with custom fields.

  Thanks for inputs , one more question what i wanted to know i want to do screen modifications in the table V_t588m , there are so many entries but how do i know that for my client USA which entry related to USA, ofcourse screen number is 2000, from group of 2000 screen how do i know which one my client using. please let me know

Hello Ashok,

I am not sure, if I have understood your question correctly. But if you see V_T588M, there are following columns;

Module Pool  - This will have module pool name, for IT0023 it is MP002300

Screen- This is the basic screen number that needs to be displayed

Feature - In case you do not want to display basic screen, for IT0023, it is P0023

Variable Key - Some kind of decision variable, based on which Alternate screen would be displayed

Alternate Screen - this would be displayed based on Variable key pulled from feature

Now if you are having number of screens for IT0023, those must be having different Variable key. you have to check feature P0023 (for IT0023), and find out the molga(for USA, MOLGA = 10), and then check what variable y key would be pulled. Then based on it you have to find out the entry in V_588M.
