budget check during material reservation from PS

HI,

Our Client wants to check assign against Project related material reservation number created within project.

How can we acheive this possibility?

Is there any way that we can budget check during material reservation from PS (Project System) or FM (Funds Management)???

please check report S_ALR_87013558 for all budget, actual, commitment, available budget etc

Hi Saquib,

Yes, the system will check budget control when the reserve is created. ( Residual Order Plan) But the logic ( reserve and Purchase Requisition) is not the same. The budget is checked against the assigned Value , You can check OSS 178837 ( section Residual Order Plan) how the assigned value is calculated for reserves.

Hi Saquib,

As far as i know, this would not be possible from standard SAP PS perspective. Reason being that reservation is not considered by standard SAP as a form of commitment like it is done in case of PR's or PO's

You may get in touch with your FICO consultant and explore if this is possible to use Funds Management for this thing.
