I have recently found out that the SDK for v9 SAP B1 no longer has any support for the stocktake object. This is an essential part of providing a suitable scanning solution for SAP B1 (which we do for SAP customers). It is even more important given the extensions to SAP for multiple bin support and of course should have batch and serial support which it did not have in 8.8 either.
The ability for our scanning system to interact directly with sap regarding counts, bins, batch #'s and serials is essential in a product like SAP B1 during stocktake. It is near impossible to reconcile bin, batch and serial #'s without scanning in a medium to large warehouse during a stocktake. Large warehouses have to do stocktakes one or more times a year and have to use scanning. the ability to interact with sap batch #'s, serial and bin changes are essential to be done programmatically directly from the scanner output . This facility should be a priority to ensure SAP B1 takes advantage of best practice using scanning technologies and should be put to the head of the dev queue immediately.
Please can we have a definitive timeframe for adding stocktake object support back into the SAP SDK.
