I have a couple of suggestions:

-Make sure you unzip the file.  If you try to run the setup.exe from the zip file you will run into problems.

-Reboot your machine and run in safe mode and then try the installation.

And you have deleted the folders as outlined in the earlier messages?

Uninstalling PB will not necessarily cleanup those folders.

I had a similar problem.  These were the steps Tech Support gave me to fix it:

-         Delete the folder
“C:\Users\tddykstra.LONEPINE\AppData\Local\Temp\{D44877C7-CEB9-405E-9B29-DCBEAE3DD09E}\{05DF2695-9379-4AAA-AC95-921FEA6AE13A}”

-
Delete “C:\Program Files(x86)\InstallShield Installation
Information\{05DF2695-9379-4AAA-AC95-921FEA6AE13A}”

-         Then the customer could try install pb12.5.2(5550) EBF.

-         If this issue still exist now, you could try to run “regedit”  to remove
register key “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{05DF2695-9379-4AAA-AC95-921FEA6AE13A}”,
then try install pb12.5.2(5550) EBF . this is the last method.

Please try Terry's suggestion.   It is documented in KBA 1873078

FYI.   PowerBuilder is building up on SAP Knowledge Base Articles.

Beverly,

Looks like the knowledge base is only for insiders.  It prompts me for a userid/password.

I had the same problem with the latest EBF 21973 (build 5602) and no problem with the previous one.

I resolved it following your steps but with some different {numbers}.

Thanks
