Database Access Error: Reason Error while allocating the context handle(FWB 00090)

Hi All,

We are doing BOBJ 4.1 installation in AIX with Sybase ASE 15.7.The database is installed and while installing BOBJ 4.1.We are getting a error as Database Access Error: Reason Error while allocating the context handle(FWB 00090).

Kindly find the attachment for the error bobj1.png is the page where we gave the details for DB and bobj2.png is the error we are getting.Kindly suggest a way to solve this error.

Hi Mathan,

I had the same issue. I solved it by adding into locale.dat file (Linux/Unix location: /sybase/<SID>/locales/locales.dat) the value of LC_ALL environment variable of the user used for the installation.

In my case the variable LC_ALL was EN_US.UTF-8, when checked by this value into file "locale.dat" under "AIX" section (you should check under your SO section) dind´t find it so I added (locale = EN_US.UTF-8, us_english, utf8). Started the installation again and the installation finished without problem.
