Randomly occurring Classcastexception

Hallo Experts,

i got a problem with randomly occurring ClassCastExceptions while performing a search.

My infrastructure is the following: I use my own RepositoryManager as well as my PropertyRenderer all included in one package (lets call it S). This RepositoryManager calls my own service which throws the error. The service is not part of S.

The service interface is in package A, while its implementation is in package B. The KEY of the interface clearly specifies the service in package B.

I call it by using:

(IIviewInfoService) PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService(IIviewInfoService.KEY)

which never throws an error in package C which uses the same call for it. But while performing the search it sometimes (but not reproducible) throws an Exception.

Package S has package A and B as SharingReference.

Should I perhaps set the service and not the package as a sharing reference?

My main question is: why is this error thrown?

kind regards

Hauke

PS:I just added a schedule for the corresponding Index, does this require a restart of the Java AS?

    While performing some test I found out, that the Errors are not thrown randomly but only on one node. The other node is working fine.

    It seems the deployment of the package was not completely performed. How can I assure a correct deployment on all nodes?
