Flatfile

Hi Experts

I am facing a problem when loading the flat file.

I am loading into the info object "ZSIZE" which is only text. i have three fields

1. Language

2. Size

3. Description.

In the same way i have my flatfile.

In the infopackage when i click on the infopackgae i am getting the following info "Select the language field in the source system ->Long text". Then i went to the preview and clicked on simulate i am getting the following msg <b>"Characteristic ZSIZES does not have any master data (or any texts)"</b>.

Where as in infoobect definition i maintained "With Texts, Short Text exists, Text language dependent".Can anyone help me wats the problem

Thanks and Regards

Srikanth

    Hi Srikanth,

Is your transfer structure for texts active?. Also make sure your flatfile corresponds to the transfer structure.

    Hope this helps.

    Bye

    Hi Srikanth,

Was the flatfile open when you did a preview. Also check the other parameters such as field separator, etc..

Was the characteristic ZSIZES created using any other info-object as refrence then you would be load only texts and no attributes.

Finally try loading by executing the infopackage, may be we shall get a detailed error message.

    Bye

    Dinesh
