Using CNMASS to change the system and user statuses

The system and user statuses are not available for selection for "fields for selection" using the standard SAP Project Systems transaction code CNMASS.

What solution has been implemented to add these standard SAP fields?

Sorry Chris, changing statuses using mass change is not standard SAP.  You will need an enhancement with either a BAPI or a BPC.  Changing status is not just changing the value of a field it is much more invlved, that is why it is not in CNMASS.

Thanks Ken I did not believe the user or system statuses could be changed using CNMASS since it not a standard master field in PS.

Hi Chris,

As Gokul and Ken rightly pointed it is not standard functionality to acheive using CNMASS. However, you can pass the user status enmass to the objects in structure in one go by using Edit>Status>User Status>Set & Pass on.

Hope this would meet your requirement and substitute using transaction CNMASS.

Hi,

Not sure about the solution that has been implemented to add the standard fields you are talking about.

As an alternative you can look at a BAPI that helps you set the status for project objects. Search the forum and you will find the BAPI.
