Webi + BEx parameter issue

Hi,

BOBJ 4 SP2

We have a report setup that's pulling data from a BEx query. This query has a restriction variable in place. The issue is that when we run the query in Analyzer it has the text + # available for the user to choose but when launched in Webi only the # is showing up. Anyone know how to fix this?

Pics of the issue.

Analyzer has the text + #

Webi only as the # value

That SP level is out of support , you should upgrade to SP6 or better SP7 as soon as you can

Thanks

Hello Chuck,

I see that in the prompt window key option is selected:

Try unselecting the key and check if you are able to see the text values.

Thanks,

Raghu

Hi Chuck,

Please be sure you are using the correct language in the connection:

In the Information Design Tool: Open your session from the “Repository Resources”, and select the BEx Query’s connection.

On the General Information tab, select “Edit”, and select the same language that you use in your BW system.

Save the changes. And test on WebI.

I hope it helps.

Hi,

Check the properties of the Bex variable if it is just a key or Key and Text?.

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply!

It's currently set to Text and Key. I've also tried setting it to just Text to no avail.

Hi,

It is probable that this is because of different language settings.

What is your login language in BEx analyzer and what is the users Prefered viewing language (PVL) in the BI platform?

Best regards,

Victor
