Automatic reservation for project stock

Hi all,

I would appreciate your comments regarding the following issue.

What I want to do is have the material elements in projects create reservations for project stock.

In my current set-up, I have a project with a single top-level WBSE and multiple subordinate WBSEs. A single top-level network is assigned to the top-level WBSE, with network activities are assigned to the various subordinate WBSEs. Assigned to these network activities are material elements for which reservations are created upon release of the superior network activities. The network is with header account assignment and the procurement indicator is PEV. The project has valuated project stock and all WBSEs are assigned to a grouping WBSE.

The problems with this set-up are (a) the created reservations are for plant stock, (b) they carry the network in the header and the individual network activities in the items, but the planned orders and PRs created from them do not carry any account assignments, and (c) the PRs are not of the document type I have configured for networks in t-code OPTT.

What am I missing here?

Hi,

What was the item category settings made at material master data level. I suppose it should be BANC and ICI (Individual/Collective indiactor) must be set to 1 (either project or sales order stock).

You must have set NORM as Item category group at master data leve and hence leading to plant stock instead of project stock.

Please discuss with your MM consultant and change the settings and discuss other requirement to have planned independent requiremenet for WBS since it has dependent of other MRP requirement of production orders.
