Design Studio Choropleth maps - Unable to display the map

Hi All,

I started working on Choropleth maps and I am facing an issue.

when I provided my custom Geo JSON file, the map is disappearing and displays only bubbles with blue background as shown below. However if I remove my JSON code the default map is showing correctly.

Could you please take a look and let me know what I am missing here ?

Harish,

In order to help the community respond to your question, it is important that you are very clear and provide all of the relevant information. Based on your choropleth map image, it looks like you are using the Design Studio SDK Development Community Choropleth Map instead of the the standard geo map, yet in your question you have not clarified if this is the case or not. That would be a good starting point.

Hi Mustafa,

Sorry, but let me clarify again please.

I am using the SDK version of Choropleth map not the GEO maps for doing a prototype before we start the productionisation of it, I am currently on DS 1.6 version.

My question is, how do I get the values displayed and correctly layered on the map ?

Issue I am facing is when I drag and drop Choropleth map and assign a data source, the map loads correctly; however if I write my JSON code, the map structure disappears and shows only bubbles at the required location with plain background (I can not see any map in background).

Step 1: Drag and drop the choropleth map and load Canada map which works fine as expected by displaying Canada map layout.

Step 2: Assign a Data Source - BEx query with latitude and Longitude and few metrics

Step 3: In the additional properties -> mapping section, remove the map contents (which was loaded by default after choosing Canada) instead Insert the custom JSON logic (given in code section already) in Map contents as shown in below picture. (observe that map layout is disappearing and only showing bubbles at the coordinates given in JSON code).

Not sure if it is a problem in my JSON logic or did I missed any steps in the sequence ? Please advise how I can get the values displayed and correctly layered on the map ?
