Crystal Report based on Bex with user exit variable

HI All,

We have a CR 2011 report based on BEx which is having current date and current month being pulled using user exit.

When refreshed this report runs just fine by showing the prompt for date and month with defaults as current date and month.

User can also change these and it works great.

When we schedule it the prompts go blank.

Report completes to success, but doesn't run for current date and month.

Is this the deafult behavior or we are doing something wrong, because of which dates are not being pulled correctly while scheduling?

From my earlier endevor to find an answer to this question I stumbled and found that this is not the correct way.

Please tell me if scheuling a CR with prompts which are coming from user exit variable in a BEx query, should have blank prompts.

And, if so how to ensure current date and month are properly pulled.

Regards,

PT

HI All,

For those who may bump in this thread to find an answer, I logged a SAP Message and found the answer for this.

SAP product team had confirmed me that this is the default functionality of the product.

User exit variable set as prompt on Bex, when used to create a Crystal Report; will only work for view on demand (and not while scheduling).

Also, an idea place link was provided to evaluate the workarounds.

Hope this clarifies.
