Document Type for transfer

Hello,

We have to migrate contracts from Legacy system to CLM.

What are the criteria to create a new document type for this transfer.

Hi,

We may have different types of contracts for example:

Procurement master agreement  type

Distributiona  and Logistics Agreement type

Commercial master agreement(sales)

Here the contracts will be of Master Agreement type, so is there any criteria / set up information required to create this document type for migration of legacy contracts.

Hi Bhavesh,

Since you are migrating legacy documents to Master Agreements in CLM you should use the Contract Importer Tool for this transfer. Through the tool you can determine the CSV file format needed.

Also, you dont need to create another document type. You can reuse the Standard Master Agreement type for this transfer.

regarding ise of CSV file format for import from the tool --> is there any template or how do I create this file.

I believe that will be the criteria for the import.

Within the Contract Importer tool there is an option to download the template for Master Agreements.
