Hi All

I am new to CRM Mobile.

When i try to open the client console for the site assignment then it throws the following error.

Error: Unable to connect to the user database (IDES).

I checked the ODBC setting.

Client console suggestion is :

""TPS file maybe be corrupted. Re-generate TPS file using Generate Metadata""

I am not able to understand that suggestion.

Please comment on the problem and give any solution.

Thanks

Hi all

Thanks for yours suggestion.I tried the way you suggested.

Generating metadata.

I also import the registry setting from outside correct one.

Checked the ODBC.

But could not able to login to Mobile sales,Mobile auth,Mobile CRM Maintenance,Conn Trans.

In the client console also ,the same error(not connected with IDES database)comes up.

So at the end , i have no choice left to reinstall the mobile sales.

But this is not a good way.

I do not know what happened.

Any ways i am in the process of reinstalling the Mobile sales application.

Thanks for all

Hi,

the TPS.NET file contains all Bdoc metadata (all query & sbdocs that are used to update MSA & query the SQL DB). Normally it's updated when a mobile upgrade package (MUP) is sent. You should be able to find the file on the client site & read it in notepad (it's XML format).

You can regenerate the file by selecting all bdocs in the client console & regenerate. The client console will then log on to the CRM system and extract all bdoc metadata from there.

Regards,

Michael.

Hi,

As tiest says client console generates metadata for all BDoc on the client sides. The TPS.net file is tampered. The TPS.net file is present in the following path
program files\SAP\Mobile\TPSFiles. Rename this file into TPS2.net and try to generate a new file via metadata generator in client console for all BDocs (A checkbox is provided to select all BDocs). It might take around 1 to 2 hours.

This should solve your problem. For any doubts regarding client console please feel free to ask.

kind regards

Hi,

I'm not the CRM Mobile expert but you can give the Documentation a try:
