Got issue data form MYSQL to SAP BI?

Hi experts,

We are getting the data form MY SQL to SAP BI through UD connect (universal data connect), while extracting the data form MY SQL to BI in info package level getting error.

Please help to me asap.

Have you checked the RFC connectivity in RSA1-->Source systems ?

Is your infopackage data selection correct?

IS your datasource based on View in your My SQL source system? If yes, just activate it once and try to run the infopackage again.

Hi Suman,

1. source system connection is OK.

2.data selection is correct.

3. data source based on the view, i activated the data source and i run the IPK,

   but getting same issue.

   where i am doing wrong?

Where did you activate? Please activate in your SQL system.

i activated the SQL system

we run the SQL reports, there is going fine,

ex - xxxxxx (user name) id not bringing the data form SQL to SAP BI SYSTEM.

where we got issue?

Do you have authorization to extract from the Source system? I mean your BWREMOTE has got full access to source system?

Please check SU53 in BW and send it to BASIS to look at the issue.

Hi

Do a right click on your source system db connection and select "connection parameter" provide the sql password

Hi,

Can you please share you error details from Ltxt.

Pls click on below area(green mark). as stated above its some authorisations issue.

Error syaing missing password. Mean when you want extract data form My sql are you entering any password?

Have you extracted before, data form my Sql to bw? How your running thru process chain or manual. You need check authorizations at My Sql system. that may causing you to stop pulling data. take basis team and try to check.

i have not extracted data before from MY SQL to BI

i am running through process cahin (it is running backgroung user ex- xxxxx)

Hi,

When we extrcat data thru process chains there two background user id will run jobs at source as well as at target(BW: BWREMOTE)

for your source background user may not be have proper authorization roles.

Please check with your basis team about required roles to pull data from my sql server.

Mean while take source team help also.

Please do not ask for any docs on Forum. We had a recent discussion with Moderators. You can search for docs on Google or SCN search.

Is your problem resolved? As I asked about authorization, i have gone through your other replies and I understand there is no issue with access.

Can you try to connect with DB connect?

I have this kind of issues previously long time ago..

As far as i can recall, the solution on this issues was, do you have any system running on oracle? If yes might have a solution for this..

MYSQL --> ORACLE --> SAP UD connect

This is what we did, from the oracle we did 'server link' from MySql to Oracle or sql server.. then connect to the oracle .. from SAP UD connect..

Error itself saying as some issue at source system.

please take basis team help and check about RFC connections between My Sql to BW.

Mean while please share the Ltxt from your error.

Hi,

At RSA1--> source system--> UD connect, expand tree -->select MY SQL server name--> right click --> check.

please share Ltxt(message from your error screen). click on yellow icon and share those info.
