Hello all,

I am looking for clarification or suggestion on below...

Lets say I move the whole of the environment to QA /PRD system using UJBR tool ( with same technical names )  and later I use the granualr

transports for any minor changes ..will there be any problem ?

Will system accept the transports at later point of time ?

Thank you,

Regards

Niki.

I have done what you have explained above, in terms of using UJBR to move environments between servers, followed by then using granular transports and it works successfully.

Obviously as you said above, the important thing is you need to keep the technical names the same.

I anticipate there is an issue with your transport route which is why you're UJBR'ing?

Please refer to note 1689814 regarding to how to keep technical name unchanged between source and target system during transport.

Please note that not all technical name will remain unchanged, please refer to section 1.5 the following white paper regarding to what techinical name may still be changed after applying the note 1689814.

SAP doesn't recommend to mix and match, UJBR functionality and CTS...as CTS does change few of the technical names of the objects. There is a setting in CTS to not to change the names but I have seen it still doing changes. Another thing is SAP will not support you if you have any issues using your approach.
