ME9F Printing Draft PO

Hi

There is a requirement from user to print draft PO from ME9F.

As per SAP standard, ME9F allows PO print only if the PO is in released status.

Please confirm if there is any standard workaround for the same.

Hi Sandesh,

You can´t print a PO until it is approved. This is related to safety. For example, the supplier receives the PO without being if approved and carries the material, due to the error of the buyer. Look the problem...

This way is correct to ensure safety.

We know this is a standard behavior, please confirm if there is any workaround for the same.

There is a standard program available for ME9F as RM06ENDR_ALV, we need to modify this program, Can we built a logic of printing Draft POs by modifying said Program.

Hi Sandesh,

Check your condition records in MN04 for dispatch time will always be "3".

Then its working .

Hi Sandesh,

Standard Config. of SAP won't allow you to take print out of the PO through ME9F unless PO is approved by Approver. For trial print out you have to use ME23N.

In standard SAP, if we take PO printout through ME9F then ME9F will not allow unreleased POs to be printed, as it doesn’t generate messages

So please use T.Code ME23N for print draft PO's. If you want to print PO only in ME9F then remove PO release Strategy..

Hi,

   In standard SAP, ME9F wont allow without release.

   Instead, you can go to ME23N or ME22N and click on print preview. Now click on the print button. System will print the PO automatically.

We need to print the document from ME9F only, this is integrated with DMS. Printing fom ME23N /ME22N is not applicable in DMS Scenario.

Hi Sandesh,

I dont think your requirement can be achieved thru standard ME9F. i suggest you can develop a custom program by copying the logic of ME9F and write the logic to allow user to take print of PO even if it is unreleased. this will enable you to take draft print out of the PO without outputting it.

Hi,

   ME9F will allow output for released PO only. If you want to take print, you can take print as mentioned above or develop own custom program.

   If you want to take in ME9F only, remove the release strategy..
