IT 2010 Hours and Amount field set to 4 decimal places

Hi Gurus,

I would like to raise a question on how to set the HOURS and AMOUNT fields in Infotype 2010 to have 4 decimal places.

I've read in some forums that it can be done thru Infoobjects.

I would like to know what is the best approach here minimizing risks that could affect retro and futur calculations.

Also, this is related to KRONOS interfacing, so if anyone is support SAP and is interafaced with KRONOS. may I know how you have set up your system.

Thanks!

Hi Ben,

I'm not sure about hours, but for the Amount and the Rate you can create a currency with 4 decimal places to handle it. We have to go to 3 decimal places on our rates in IT2010 and so we created a USD3 currency that does this for us. The currency is then specified at the point of creation in IT2010.

For hours, try looking options for creating a custom Unit which could be linked to field ANZHL.

We use Kronos and import nearly all of our paid hours into IT2010. We built a custom ABAP upload interface, and our payroll group loads hours via SM35 batch session. We wanted to control the import process while still giving us all the ABAP flexibility we need. The hours are downloaded out of Kronos into a .csv file format for uploading.

Hope this helps.
