Revoke Production Order Release

Hi Team,

I am getting some strange message while calling the function "Read PP Master Data" to revoke the "REL" status.

My current production order status: REL  MACM SETC

I do not have routing for my FERT item but have set default operation for my plant & order type in OPJG.

I have valid BOM for my FERT item.

I have NOT assigned any user status profile for my order type in OPJH.

Note: I have read many threads on this but no clue.

When i call the function "Read PP Master Data" getting below message. And i am proceeding with "Continue". But usually we do not get the pop-op "Post Read Master Data" know? Why does this pop-up appear?

Q1: After continuing with above screen shot, still the status is REL. Can anyone guide me?

Q2: What is business transaction for "Read PP Master Data" to be checked in BS32?

Hi Selva,

After the pop up is shown, have you tried to read the log? This contains information message that your production order is already released. Are there any other messages?

This is standard behavior. After the 'Read PP master data', the status will be reverted to CRTD.

Q1: After continuing with above screen shot, still the status is REL. Can anyone guide me?

After continuing from the second pop-up you will receive the message:

and you will be able to see the status change to CRTD.

 Q2: What is business transaction for "Read PP Master Data" to be checked in BS32?

Nothing, this is maintained by SAP. My suggestion is do not change the settings of BS32/ BS22. Leave them to the standards.

Hi Selva,

Since you have mentioned that you do not have a routing, instead you have used OPJG setting for automatic generation of operation for the order, system should ask you for generating the operation when you Reread master data. I have checked your scenario, and system pops up the message:

Are you able to view this message after you hit enter in the second pop up?

Hi Rajen,

I am NOT getting the pop-up (indicating "Generate Operation") which you have mentioned. In OPL8, i have maintained below settings for routing selection.

Q1: Should i need to make some changes in the "BOM" before calling the function "Read PP Master Data" in my production order?

Q2: Will OPJK (ATP Check Control) setting have any influence on this behaviour?

Selva,

Change OPL8 'Routing Selection' setting to '3', you will receive the message and everything works well.

Hi Rajen,

You are right. But i have concern here. During mass conversion of planned to production order in CO41, the pop-up "Generate Operation" is displayed. And the user input is required to select the option "Generate Operation". But this is not possible in the production system since the back ground job will be scheduled for CO41 / Program-PPBICO40).

Can you please guide?

I do not see any other option here and waiting for other experts' comments on the same.

In my opinion, please raise an OSS note to SAP for support explaining the situation in detail.

Hello Selva,

Please post the log and also check whether Release ckeckbox in "on creation" is ticked in OPKP for your plant and scheduling profile combination?

Hi Dee Joy,

In OPKP, the "release" check box is NOT checked.  I do not have any idea on system behaviour for NOT setting the "CRTD" status again. Please guide me.

Dear Selvakumar,

This is the standard SAP behavior and once after Read PP master data is selected the status of the

released order is set to created again.
