Is it possible to retransport WebI report

Hi everyone,

I am facing a scenario, where in BO Dev system I need to modify a WebI report. So I made a copy from Publice Folder to My Fav. Then I made the modifications in the report. Then to move the report to Public Folder, I copied the report from My Fav and Deleted the original report which is in Public Folder. Then I pasted the copied one. Which should not be done.

So my architect told me that the reports are maintained with CUID in all the landscapes. So while importing into BO Quality, we are facing issue, that the original version got deleted and you are trying to place a new report.

Is it possible to reimport the original report which is in BO Quality to BO Dev??

Kindly suggest your views. Expecting quick response.

You have two option

Option 1 : Preserve the CUID: Replace the new report you created in the new folder and do a save as with the main report name in the original folder as the same name and replace the main report with the newly created report. That will preserve the CUID and you can promote through LCM as usual.

Option 2: Dont preserve CUID ( IF there is no dependency like Opendoc on the rpeort)

Delete the report in QA after taking a backup and just promote the new report in the original path..

Hi Satish,

Please do delete the Main report which has been placed in the Development after modifying,

Now reimport the report to Dev from Quality by creating LCM job, so now you will be having the report with same CUID as of Quality and now overwrite the report imported from Quality to DEV with the modified report in Favourites and move the report again to Quality to reflect the changes that has been done in Development.
